2-Sided Design for Growing Kids

8" hybrid mattress with 6" innersprings and custom foam layers to provide the right safety, comfort, support, and durability for growing kids with changing needs and preferences.

Softer Side

As kids get older, they tend to favor mattresses with more of a comforting feel, which is why we created a softer side for older kids (suggested for 8-12) that still provides excellent support.

Firmer Side

The firmer side is great for younger kids (suggested for 3-7 year olds) when they need additional support to aid proper development of their growing bodies.

Sleep Safely

To ensure your kid won’t be exposed to dangerous chemicals, this mattress was tested for lead and phthalate and all foams are CertiPUR-US® certified, which guarantees they were made without harmful chemicals. Made without fiberglass.

Firmer Support Layer (Ages 3-7): Helix Responsive Foam - 1"

This layer of sturdy, dense foam provides spinal support to aid the proper development of younger kids' growing bodies.

Body Shape Layer: Wrapped Coils - 6"

Hundreds of individual 6" coils cradle your kid's body and limit motion transfer. Two reinforced sides provide edge support to keep your kid safely in bed.

Softer Comfort Layer (Ages 8-12): Gel Memory Foam - 1"

Plush and comforting, this layer has a soft, uniquely pressure relieving and cushioned feel.

Unboxing your Helix Kids Mattress

Unpack - Your Helix Kids Mattress will be delivered in a sturdy box and wrapped in two layers of airtight plastic. To get started, bring your boxed Helix Kids Mattress into the bedroom and open one end of the box. Lay the box on its side and remove the rolled up mattress, placing it directly on your child's sleep surface. Set aside the empty box to be recycled later.

Uncover - To remove the outer layer of airtight plastic, pull on the tab and begin removing the entire outer layer. You are welcome to carefully use scissors to cut away the outer layer of plastic if necessary. Your mattress may begin to unroll or unfold on your child's sleep surface. Once the outer layer of plastic has been fully removed, please set it aside. It can be recycled with soft plastics if that service is available in your area.

Unfold and unwrap - With the outer layer of plastic removed, fully unfold your child's mattress so it sits flat on your child's sleep surface, with only one layer of airtight plastic remaining. Carefully cut the inner layer of recyclable plastic (avoid cutting the mattress) and remove it. As you cut into the inner layer of plastic, the mattress will begin to rapidly expand.

Expand, arrange and enjoy - Flip the mattress so the age range that appears right side up (on top) is appropriate. Please give the mattress 1-2 hours to expand. Once fully expanded, your Helix Kids Mattress will measure approximately 8 inches tall. Then it's time to kick back and relax. Sweet dreams!

Warranty - 10 Year Limited Warranty

We’ve designed the Helix Kids Mattress with durable steel coils that provide a bit more support than you might find in an innerspring mattress or similar type of mattress. Our high quality mattress design comes with a 10 year warranty, ensuring you and your child will love it for years and years.
